School's Workshops

The Leach Pottery offers half day workshops for Key Stages 1 to 4. These workshops include practical hands-on activities such as making a coil pot or tile, sketching, floor puzzles, a workshop trail and watching a potter making pots on a wheel. All pupils will see the historical pottery with the original old kilns and equipment as well as the modern museum exhibition area. Visits will provide the basis for a cross curricula project incorporating elements of heriatge, geography, science, literacy, maths, local history, myths and legends and Art and Design.

Time: 120 minutes (90 minutes for KS1)

Numbers: Workshops are suitable for a maximum of 36 children

Cost: £150 per workshop (please enquire for rates on multiple bookings or smaller groups)
