David & Margaret Frith
David and Margaret Frith have been making pots for more than fifty years. They trained in the oriental tradition at Stoke-on-Trent College of Art under ex-Leach apprentice Derek Emms before establishing their first pottery together in the mid-1960s, and now live and work at Brookhouse Pottery in Denbigh, North Wales.
Joanna Wason, was a former Leach potter and studio assistant to the late Janet Leach. Wason stayed on long after Janet’s death in 1997 and was one of the last staff potters at the Leach when it closed its doors in 2005. She now works from her studio near St Just making reduction fired, thrown or slab built pots in the Leach tradition, as well as creating her distinctive ceramic sculptures.
