Schools Work

The Leach Pottery offers workshops across all Key Stages.

Key Stages 1 to 3 - include practical hands-on activities such as making a coil pot or tile, sketching, floor puzzles, a workshop trail and watching pots being made on the wheel. Pupils can explore the old pottery with its original kilns and equipment as well as the new museum and exhibition area. Visits provide the basis for a cross curricula project incorporating elements of heritage, geography, science, literacy, maths, local history, myths and legends and art and design.

Key Stages 4 & 5 - we can arrange bespoke tours and activities including raku firings - see below for details.

For enquiries please contact Learning & Participation Officers, Amanda Brier and Jackie Clark amanda@leachpottery.com or jackie@leachpottery.com 01736 799703 (part time so please leave a message).
