The Leach Pottery is celebrating its ‘10 Year Anniversary’; in March 2008, the fully restored and rejuvenated Leach Pottery reopened to the public after closing its doors in 2005. To thank all the people involved - especially visitors and supporters from the local community to the far reaches of the globe, the Leach Pottery is organising a series of talks, exhibitions, events, and creative sessions.
There will be three talks/panels on 30 March, hosted by Professor Simon Olding - Director of the Crafts Study Centre and Chair of the Leach Pottery's Board of Trustees.
This talk, 'The Leach Pottery Today', focusses on where the Leach Pottery is today and heading in the future. We look forward to hearing contributions from:
Libby Buckley: Director of the Leach Pottery from 2016, previously the Director of the Telegraph Museum Porthcurno for five years
Matthew Foster: the Leach Pottery's second Seasalt Apprentice, starting in 2015
Callum Trudgeon: the Leach Pottery's first Seasalt Apprentice (2014-17), now working as a Leach Production Potter
Roelof Uys: Lead Potter of the Leach Studio, Roelof started at the Pottery in 2013.
