Leach Standard Ware: Shop

Leach Standard Ware is thrown on the wheel by our international team of production potters, volunteers and apprentices. We use stoneware from Doble’s clay pit in St Agnes, Cornwall - much the same clay as was used in the original Leach Standard Ware production. Our pots are then fired to temperatures of 1280°C resulting in a unique clay body and durable product.

Main Glazes: Ash: a soft, translucent GREEN, with subtle variations. Tenmoku: a deep BLACK finish, breaking to RED-BROWN where it is thinner.
Dolomite: a creamy WHITE , sometimes giving a hint of blue.
