The Leach Pottery is located at Higher Stennack (on the B3306) on the upper outskirts of the town of St Ives, Cornwall.

  • How to get here

  • FROM THE A30: Follow the brown signs for Tate St Ives.  At the Penzance/Zennor junction on the B3306 continue following the road down towards St Ives.  The Leach Pottery is on the right, after the fire Station.

  • FROM ST IVES TOWN CENTRE: Follow the main road up the hill from Royal Square (opposite the Royal Cinema).  Two minutes by car or a twenty minute walk.

There is limited parking (7 spaces) at the Leach Pottery site including 2 Disabled Parking bays (Sat Nav- TR26 2HE)

  • Our free overflow parking can be found at St John’s in the fields church (50 spaces), approximately 4 minutes walk from the pottery (We have a formal arrangement with the church) (Sat Nav-TR26 2FB)

  • Coaches may park in a private car park opposite by arrangement link

Additional Parking Options

  • Nearest public car park is at Trenwith (Pay & Display) next to St Ives Leisure Centre, approximately 6 minutes walk from the Pottery

  • A large paying car park is also available at the St Ives Rugby Club grounds approximately 5 minutes from the Pottery (Sat Nav - TR26 1ER).

We have tried to provide more detail about access on site to help with your visit.

  • Access on site

  • All public areas are accessible to wheel chairs and pushchairs and people with limited mobility with the exception of the old kiln room in the museum to which there is a steep step down.

  • There are ramps for entrance into the shop and disabled parking bays in the onsite car park.

  • Wheelchair –friendly toilets are situated in the museum entrance space with baby change facilities.

  • There is a wheel-chair friendly lift for access from the old museum to the newer part of the site where the Cube Gallery is situated.

  • We are a dog friendly museum.
