Museum & Exhibitions
Our museum and exhibition spaces are undergoing restoration work from November 2025 to November 2026 and will be closed to the public as part of a major transformation of our site. You can find out more here.
The shop opening times remain unaffected by our current redevelopment of the site.

The newly renovated museum will bring the incredible story of the Pottery and the people behind it to life.
The year-long renovation will allow visitors to learn more about the life of those who lived and worked at the Leach Pottery, through objects and first-hand accounts. A new gallery will enable us to borrow pieces from other organisations, such as the Tate, Centre of Ceramic Art, York and the V&A, some of which will not have been shown in Cornwall before.
Other attractions will include:
Handle clay and ceramics, with opportunities for visitors to make their own creations in the Make Space.
In the Old Pottery, visitors can follow the journey of clay, from raw materials to finished pot, through multi-sensory experiences.
Listen to oral histories from our archive; bringing the Pottery to life through the voices of Leach Potters across time.
Personalise their visit, through trails and activities.
Our Leach Pottery shop remains open where you can browse the Leach Standard Ware range and our beautifully curated selection of pottery by Leach Potters and talented individual makers. Our shop staff are incredibly knowledgeable and will be happy to talk to you about the work for sale. Visit our online shop here.
