Workshop and Preparation Support Volunteer role

Are you passionate about pottery and education? Our Workshop Volunteers help learners on our internationally renowned Learning and Participation Programme. Our courses and workshops attract a huge range of people – from experienced potters to children touching clay for the first time; from adults within our community bolstering their wellbeing to school children deepening their skills.

What you do as a volunteer:

·        Help staff prepare for and clean up after workshops

·       Welcome learners and offer encouragement to those who need additional assistance including repeating demos when needed

·        Learn new skills

·       Help ensure items are named and structurally sound before firing (you may need to amend pieces that aren’t)

Skills you can bring:

·        A warm, friendly and approachable manner

·        Knowledge and experience with clay

·        Good communication skills

·        A positive and flexible approach
