The pots that I make are to be used and enjoyed in domestic life. There are certain forms that have been present in my work almost since I began making cups, bowls, and pots for flowers.
I still derive pleasure and satisfaction from the formal refinements that accompany each fresh exploration. I think that for me, the bowl remains the form where subtleties of line are most elusive and consequently most rewarding when successful.
The work is thrown using Limoges porcelain; gas fired using combinations of celadon and tenmoku.
