Emily Myers

Based near Andover in Hampshire, Emily Myers is a Craft Council selected maker and a fellow of the Craft Potters Association. She has worked as a studio potter for 25 years.

Emily makes vases and other vessels thrown on a wheel using red stoneware and porcelain.  Drawing on both organic and architectural influences in her work, she employs techniques such as carving and faceting to create strong elegant forms.

Emily uses a range of matt glazes, fired in an electric kiln which she has developed to compliment her forms.

Emily was featured in Ceramic Review, where you will find a short film in which she gives a step-by-step masterclass describing the process of creating her signature Carved Ball forms.
