Evening Workshops: Make a… Bowl, in a bowl, in a bowl or Make an Autumn Vase
In celebration of St Ives September Festival, we are happy to host these one-off workshops. These workshops are open to all over 18s, of any abilities.
Gather in the Leach Pottery Museum and make with clay to create a set of three nestling bowls through hand-built pinch pots. Or take inspiration from the flora and fauna across the surfaces of pots in the Leach Pottery Collection and use seed heads and natural textures to create your own Autumn Vase. Outcomes of the workshops will be fired and glazed and ready for collection from the Leach Pottery within 10 weeks of the workshop.
When: Thursday 18 September, 6-8pm - Make a Bowl, in a bowl, in a bowl , or Thursday 25 September, September 6-8pm - Make an Autumn Vase.
Where: Leach Pottery Museum.
Equipment & materials: Clay and a basic tool kit is provided. Please bring additional tools if you wish to use them along with an apron.
This course will: teach you basic hand building techniques.
You will leave with: A bowl nest or a vase that is within the footprint of 15 x 15 x 15cm which will be glazed and fired at the Leach Pottery ready for collection or postage within 10 weeks.
