Amy Wilson & Callum Cowie: Featured Apprentice Potters
This week we’re very pleased to present two new Featured Potters: Leach apprentice Amy Wilson, who joined the Studio in September 2023, and, Callum Cowie who started in early 2024.
Amy and Callum are working alongside the Studio Team learning all aspects of making Leach Standard Ware, from pugging to throwing, trimming, glazing and firing.
As part of their apprenticeship they are able to use the knowledge, support and inspiration of the studio and its team to develop their own individual work, some of which is now available here.
This is an introductory offer of 10% off all work from 25 November until 2 December, after which time prices will return to their RRP.
“It is such a privilege to train here with the Studio team. As an Apprentice I am enjoying the process of exploring different techniques and styles to find my own personal aesthetic. I aim to make pots that are both functional and beautiful, and I hope that the sense of enjoyment and satisfaction I feel when making translates to the same feelings for those using them.”

Currently experimenting with different materials and forms, Callum seeks those that best express simplicity. He is particularly drawn to Japanese aesthetics and the philosophy of becoming present in pottery, allowing creativity and beauty to shine through.
