The Leach Pottery presents an exhibition of new pots by Kat Wheeler to celebrate her transition from the Leach Studio, where she has worked for the past 10 years, to her own workshop in the Gaolyard Studios, St Ives.

This new body of pots explores and reinterprets the techniques that Kat has honed at the Leach Pottery alongside international experiences like working with Jeff Oestreich, in America, and at the Hamada Workshop in Japan.

Kat Wheeler will show a range of individual functional ware and larger standalone pieces in reduction fired stoneware, as well as a small selection of soda fired pots. There will be a wide array of forms to see and enjoy including vases, chargers, whisky bottle sets, teapots and coffee pots, as well as bowls and dishes – some of which will feature a developing graphic theme and ‘thrown and altered’ shapes.

All works for sale.
