Mud Pie: After School Club
Come and play with clay, your chance to explore different ways of working, learn through playful creation of forms and surface decoration, with the legacy of the Leach Pottery to guide our way.
Mud Pie is a weekly group for young people to gain experience with clay, develop skills, and form friendships. The 4 week course will cover hand-building, using moulds, and surface decoration, and each participant will be able to choose their favourite piece of work to be glazed and fired.
The course is for ages 7-12 with no previous experience necessary, with group sizes of up to 10 participants.
Booking priority is given to participants of St Ives Juniors and St Ives secondary schools (in particular their pupil premium schemes). Please contact Neil at takepart@leachpottery.com to book your place on a forthcoming course bookings are made per term.
Equipment & materials: clay and a basic tool kit is provided.
You will leave with: one piece that will be ready for collection within 12 weeks after the course has finished. This piece needs to be within the footprint of 20 x 20 x 20cm.
