Nick Rees: Shop
Nick Rees’ individual style has evolved during a career that has spanned nearly 50 years. In 1972 he joined John Leach for an apprenticeship at Muchelney Pottery, learning his craft over four decades, producing wood-fired tableware. There is a subtle, refined approach to shape and design – accentuated through carving, fluting and experimentation with slips and glazes.
The exquisite surface detail and rich layers of subtle colour combine with the electric firing process, allowing Nick to create a range of work that is distinctive; highly polished but also beautifully organic.
Nick’s individual pieces showcased here were included in our recent Exhibition: Muchelney Pottery: 60 Years Strong.
