Potters’ Edition
We are proud to introduce a new collection of Limited Edition work made by members of the Leach Pottery Production Team. Each potter selected, designed and made an individual piece, using the same stoneware body as our Standard Ware; available exclusively online. An edition of only ten, each piece is stamped with both the individual potter and Leach Pottery marks. Please keep an eye out for more additions to the Potters’ Edition range; including colanders, butter dishes and more.
Faceted Lidded Jar
This week we introduce faceted lidded storage jars made by Apprentice Potter, Amy Wilson. Made from stoneware clay, with a Nuka glaze, each piece has Amy’s stamp and the Leach Pottery mark.
“I made these large lidded jars by throwing a thick-walled jar form and later cutting into the walls with a twisted wire to create the textured facets. I chose to accentuate this surface detail by glazing with nuka, a Japanese glaze containing rice husk ash which breaks nicely over texture. These jars combined two of my favourite things - lidded forms and facets, and they were a joy to make.”
