Made from stoneware clay, these black and white bowls and vases are thrown and then decorated by cutting a simple motif into the glaze…veins on pebbles, the meandering horizon line and surf running over the shore are all influences that can be seen in the decoration.

When in his early 40’s Rick returned to clay and full time education in ceramics on the Harrow course (University of Westminster 93-96).

On completing the course, Rick set up his studio at The Chocolate Factory in Hackney, London where he worked for several years before moving to Cornwall where he had a studio at Gaolyard  Studios in St Ives.

Rick very sadly passed away in October 2016. 

Rick's family are donating most of the profits from sales of his pots  to the Air Ambulance service and the Samaritans.
