Robyn Cove

Robyn studied Art & Design at Dumfries & Galloway College in Scotland where she leant to throw pots. In 2008 she received her BA(hons) Ceramics from Cardiff Metropolitan University making hand built figurative work. She returned to making pots in 2016 when she began making from her home studio in Cardiff.

 Robyn has since developed a body of work which includes both domestic tableware and teaware. Her pots are decorated with repeat pattern, carved or painted decoration; in bands around the pots. 

 ‘The focus of my pottery is that it functions. The aim is that the pots fit well in the hands and become an extension of the user’s own body. To me pottery is a symbol of both emotional and physical nourishment.’
