Russell Kingston: Featured Potter

Our Featured Potter this week is Devon-based potter Russell Kingston, who works in the Slipware tradition. His work has a freshness that sits well in a modern home and country cottage alike.  

Marrying old techniques with a contemporary approach, his pots are made for the kitchen, oven and table; a celebration of food in everyday life. Russell uses slabs to mix in different textures and then altered shapes to achieve forms that cannot be done on a wheel alone.
