Ruthanne’s work is made and manipulated while in a wet state to capture the soft organic quality of the clay. Soda vapour glazing in a wood/gas-fired kiln emphasises the marks and rhythms of making. Nothing is hidden.
This collection of work includes: yunomi, tokkuri, small bowls, chawan and larger faceted bottles.
